FAQs
1. What is Inspiring Interns?
Inspiring Interns is London's leading internship agency. We help match students and graduates with companies who offer meaningful internships that lead to permanent graduate jobs.
2. How do I apply? (Where do I send my CV?)
It couldn't be easier to send an application to Inspiring Interns. If you have seen any positions on our website that interest you, hit 'add to my jobs'. Once you have added all the jobs you like simply click 'apply' in the 'my jobs' tray. Then fill in the form, which includes uploading your CV, and hit submit. We don't need a cover letter. Easy!
If you want to send a general application then go to the send CV page. Fill in all your details, write us a brief note about what sort of internship you would like, upload your CV and that's it!
If you have a strange aversion to completing online forms you can simply email your CV, complete with a quick message about what you are looking for, to cv@inspiringinterns.com
3. When do I need to apply?
The vast majority of the companies we work with are looking for someone to start within a month. So it is never too late to send an application! However if you are the organised type looking for something in the future then don't fret. You can still apply and we will keep your CV on file until we have roles available that fit with your timeframe.
4. How long do Inspiring Internships last?
Our internships are normally three months long. Some are shorter, occasionally we will have longer projects. We normally don't have twelve month placements but keep an eye on our vacancies just in case.
5. Are your internships paid?
The minimum our interns receive is lunch and travel expenses, ensuring that you are not out of pocket. Internships that fall under the National Minimum Wage act are paid, as are all internships that last longer than three months.
6. Do your internships lead to permanent jobs?
All of our internships are offered with a view to becoming permanent positions. 65% of our interns go on to secure full-time graduate jobs at the company where they have interned, and the majority of the remaining 35% gain employment elsewhere as a result of the extra experience their internship has provided.
7. When will I hear back from you once I've applied?
Once you have applied you should receive an automatic email confirming that we have received your application. If we think you match up with any of our vacancies we will normally be in touch within five working days. If you have not heard from us in this time then you have unfortunately been unsuccessful on this occasion. However we will keep your CV on file and keep you in mind for any future roles. Sadly we are only a small team and cannot offer feedback on individual applications – sorry.
8. What qualifications do I need to do an Inspiring Internship?
Our internships are normally aimed at university graduates. We do not have a minimum degree requirement, so don't panic if you didn't get a 2.1 or a first! If you are not a university graduate you can still apply but we advise taking a bit more time in your application to explain why you think you are suitable.
9. Can I come to see you in person?
We invite all successful applicants to come and have a chat with us at our office. Unfortunately we cannot see everyone, so if you have not been contacted then sadly we cannot meet you in person.
10. I am an international student – can I apply?
Yes! We welcome applications from international students and graduates. Unfortunately we cannot help with visas, accommodation or other logistical issues. But if you want an internship in the UK do send us your CV!
