Our client is an independent distributor of chemicals which works for some of the world’s major chemical companies. Its team stocks products in various packaging sizes and is able to offer product in intermediate bulk containers and bulk road tanker quantities.


This is a full-time position based in Manchester, paying £19-23K

Key responsibilities for this role are:

  • Inputting customer orders
  • Maintaining spreadsheets
  • Dealing with customer queries and complaints
  • Keep current and prospect customer contact tools with relevant information
  • Following up sales enquiries using appropriate methods
  • Communicate, liaise and negotiate effectively. Both internally and externally.
  • Produce invoices
The ideal candidate’s personality and qualifications;
  • Educated to a degree level
  • Previous sales administration experience within similar industry
  • Ability to work as a part of a team
  • Self-motivated
  • Capable of time-management
  • The ability to multitask and prioritise ensuring all administrations is kept up to date
  • A good level of IT literacy with knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Good communications skills
