Leisure facilities are essential part of wellbeing and the company wants to help leisure centres to run their activities by providing them with financial stability to the centres. Helping the centres to reduce their costs will enhance the customer experience and encourage the participation within the leisure centres. They help leisure centres to monitor, control and reduce consumption consistently. This leads to significant savings, operational efficiency and environmental sustainability.

This is a full-time position Homebased but can be located anywhere within the UK, paying £22-24K (DOE)

The company is looking for a Graduate Project Manager to join their team working alongside the Senior Project Manager and Managing Director. Your daily responsibilities will include:


  • Assisting the project manager with the company’s site based activities
  • Making sure that all projects are delivered within the budget
  • Remaining updated with company’s service systems of leisure centres and pools
  • Working with Managing Director, Technical support and Senior Project Manager to monitor the progress solutions
  • Planning and organising the works on site
  • Making sure all projects are delivered with excellent level of service
  • Reviewing and understanding the company’s investment appraisal model
  • Preparing a programme of works in Gantt Chart format for internal and client use and approval
  • Preparing supporting information to support bid applications for clients
  • Securing budget costs and preparing cost plans
  • Assisting the compilation of the contract documentation  (PAS)
  • Visiting Sites within the UK
  • Meeting contractors
  • Visiting working sites to ensure progress of works
  • Distributing meeting minutes
  • Arranging company’s site banners to be produced and are located on site before any work starts
  • Arranging inspections with the Technical Director to ensure that the requirements and designs has been achieved and can be signed off
  • Writing reports on project costs against budget
  • Making sure all company’s policies are adhered especially Health and Safety
  • Creating invoices for clients
  • Maintaining and updating on a monthly basis a project costing sheets
  • Paying the suppliers and contractors
  • Reporting to the Managing Director the forecast profitability
  • Preparing supporting information for cash flow

The ideal candidate’s personality and qualifications;

  • Educated to degree level. Desirably in Engineering/ Technology or Energy related degree
  • Good numeracy skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel is essential
  • Full driver’s license
  • Self-motivated individual
  • Good communication skills
  • Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
