This company is an events venue bringing together ice skating, bowling and great food with an onsite MEATliquor restaurant. Located at London’s only ice rink, built in 1931, this iconic building has been recently rebuilt and transformed, and was voted by GQ as one of the coolest activity bars in London for 2017.

 

This is a short term contract for 3 months based in Bayswater, no options for a permanent role at this stage.

With our peak season (Christmas) already in full swing, a great opportunity has become available to join the team behind the scenes as a Reservations Agent.

As a Reservationist you’ll help book people in for an amazing experience, whether it’s dinner and drinks or bowling and ice skating or a combination of all we have on offer.

You’ll be the friendly voice of the business assisting guests with all their party needs and wants.

NB: This role is based on a rota scheduling system, you will be working shifts between the hours of 9am to 9pm. You need to be happy with some shifts finishing at 9pm.

Day-to-day activities will include…

  • Dealing efficiently and politely with all telephone, email, internet and ‘in person’ enquiries
  • Ensure that all reservations are logged fullly and clearly and are input accurately and promptly onto the system
  • Liasing with all departments to ensure the best service is provided to our customers
  • Ensuring that all work meets company standards and is according to training given
  • Booking details must be accurate at all times and complete fully, including requirements, booking supplements and payment details
  • Creating daily host sheets detailing reservations
  • Developing an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the operation of the business including all food and drink menus to ensure that you are able to respond to customer enquiries

The ideal candidate’s personality and qualifications…

  • You are computer literate, as you’ll need to hit the ground running
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • You have previous experience operating a Design My Night bookings system (or other hospitality systems)
  • Ability to work in a high pressurised environment
  • You are upbeat, confident, self-motivated, and target driven
  • Natural ability to sell products enthusiastically
  • You are Polite, friendly, articulate with great telephone etiquette
  • Ideally will have experience in a high-volume event, leisure of hospitality reception position
  • A willingness to learn and develop and work as a team
  • You are experienced and passionate about delivering outstanding customer service
