This is a permanent graduate job with a starting salary of £18,000 - £21,500, based in Feltham, west London.

Our client is one of the founding companies of the British classic car parts industry, having started in the mid 1970's. With four branches in London, Bristol, Bradford, Manchester.

How you expect the candidate to spend their day:

Working as part of a proactive Pricing team and alongside the Program Managers this role is responsible for monitoring and maintaining the company’s pricing strategy with a focus on remaining competitive within the market, whilst ensuring maximum profitability for the company.

Duties & Responsibilities:

•    Monitor competitor activity in the marketplace taking note of promotional activity and price changes
•    Use internet based price comparison tools
•    Develop and maintain a competitor pricing database
•    Maintain competitive pricing by analyzing products against the market and adjusting as and when required with the aim of maximizing overall GP%
•    Chase all pricing enquires from internal stakeholders as well as customers to ensure all discrepancies and concerns are dealt with promptly and efficiently
•    Review retail and trade pricing on an ad-hoc basis for the purchasing team when new price files are supplied by vendors
•    Work within and develop internal systems to effectively manage pricing matrix’s and GP%
•    Work with other Pricing Analysts, Program Managers, Purchasing & Product Manager on new product pricing to ensure a balance between profitability and competitiveness is achieved

To fulfill this role we require an organized, focused individual with excellent mathematical and data processing skills. The candidate will also be required to have the following:

•    Good communication skills
•    Must be self motivated and able to work individually and as part of a team
•    Must be accurate and organised
•    Must be able to liaise with and obtain information from colleagues
•    Excellent mathematical ability
•    Computer literate with an excellent understanding of Microsoft Word, Excel & Access and able to learn new software
•    Confidence to ask questions when unsure
