Our client is a sports equipment manufacturing brand, specialising in rugby union and netball.

 

This is a paid one year internship with the potential to turn permanent. 

This well known sports equipment manufacturing brand, specialising in rugby union and netball, are looking for brand marketing assistants to join their team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execution of the digital marketing calendars for each brand: including monthly content – sport based and product based. Attend content planning meetings with the team.
  • Regular management and updating of the brand websites and e-commerce platforms – aligned with digital and social campaigns. To include briefing the internal design team if required
  • Assisting with the account management of key identified company partners
  • Writing/creating social media posts and content creation.
  • Working with their many brand partners, such as World Rugby, England Rugby, Premiership Rugby, International Netball Federation and England Netball, to ensure that they exploit the power of co-branded digital marketing and fully utilise the assets that their relationships give them.
  • Create B2B distributor and retailer e-newsletters
  • Planning product releases and updating the e-commerce platforms with the new product ranges where applicable
  • Sense checking website content and products for errors, and updating accordingly
  • Working with the company's rugby player ambassadors to maximise social reach and brand exposure
  • Working closely with the existing marketing team on major campaign planning.

The ideal candidate’s personality and qualifications:

  • Strong Rugby Knowledge 
  • Previous digital marketing experience desirable
  • A strong understanding of Brand, Digital and e-commerce Marketing.
  • Good attention to detail, resilient, Good communication (natural communicator) skills both written and verbal, Hard working. 
  • Able to easily grasp the concept of delivering a digital media engagement programme. 
  • Good organisational and time-management skills
  • Able to assess current social media presence and provide insights into what works and what can be utilised to improve engagement
