Based in Guildford, our client is the creator of an industrial analytics platform which is used by data scientists for heavyweight data processing and advanced analytics with the languages of SAS and R. It is provided to users around the world in many industry sectors, especially financial services, healthcare, retail, market research, consultancies, charities, academic research, and government statistics.

The solutions division offers hands-on data science consulting services including advice, solution design and implementation. Both off-the-shelf applications and bespoke analytics projects cover segmentation, propensity modelling, credit risk and other analytics needs.

 

This role will see you running business development campaigns using a variety of media formats including (but not limited to) email, social media and phone calls.

You will work within a small team but growing team in an exciting office with colleagues of various levels of experience and expertise. They will work alongside you to ensure you have all the knowledge and support you will need to generate new business.

We supply software to users around the world who require maximum reliability for their high-value and core business processes. Our platform handles data workloads from essential data management, capacity and performance planning and ETL through visualisation, predictive modelling and presentation to production analytics. 

Main duties involve:

The candidate will be exposed to the following areas:

  • Social Media connections and engagement via Linkedin
  • Sending and responding to email messaging, representing the company to potential customers
  • Direct contact via the telephone
  • Investigative work to find the right people to speak to
  • Booking 1st meetings between the prospect, sales exec and yourself
  • Enriching the CRM database with intel and detail helping the sales team

Essential Role skills required:

  • Previous business development experience is preferable
  • Strong and confident telephone manner
  • Educated to A-level standard with strong IT, Mathematics and English skills
  • Highly organised individual
  • Target-driven
  • Good administration skills

Would be beneficial:

  • Multi-lingual is an advantage
  • Experience of Salesforce
  • Use of other customer service management tools
  • Outbound prospecting experience
