Based in Guildford, our client is the creator of an industrial analytics platform which is used by data scientists for heavyweight data processing and advanced analytics with the languages of SAS and R. It is provided to users around the world in many industry sectors, especially financial services, healthcare, retail, market research, consultancies, charities, academic research, and government statistics.

The solutions division offers hands-on data science consulting services including advice, solution design and implementation. Both off-the-shelf applications and bespoke analytics projects cover segmentation, propensity modelling, credit risk and other analytics needs.

 

This is a permanent role offering £25K - £32K depending on experience, based in Guildford, Surrey.
Day-to-day activities will include…

  • Providing good communication with key stakeholders; from business and data understanding all the way through to model deployment.
  • Developing novel applications of classification, advanced forecasting, simulation, optimization and summarization techniques
  • Ability to complete entire journey:
    • Data preparation in SAS or SQL
    • Analysis in SAS, R or Python
    • Models
    • Presentation to customers and convincing stakeholders of our recommendations
  • Identifying and introducing forecasting indicators to improve business performance
  • Scenario modelling on performance indicators
  • Demand Management – Product and Marketplace
    • Business, Assortment, Allocation and Location
    • Dynamic in season-pricing and promotion
