Based in Guildford, our client is the creator of an industrial analytics platform which is used by data scientists for heavyweight data processing and advanced analytics with the languages of SAS and R. It is provided to users around the world in many industry sectors, especially financial services, healthcare, retail, market research, consultancies, charities, academic research, and government statistics.

The solutions division offers hands-on data science consulting services including advice, solution design and implementation. Both off-the-shelf applications and bespoke analytics projects cover segmentation, propensity modelling, credit risk and other analytics needs.


This is a 1 month internship paying £18K pro rata designed to lead to apermanent graduate job with a starting salary of £25K with £50k OTE. The role will be based from the company's new office in Guildford

Key responsibilities of the role: 

You will be supporting the solutions department in developing product and solution awareness. This will involve being exposed to the following areas:

  • Assisting the account management team in prospecting strategic accounts 
  • Researching new business opportunities and following up with new marketing content 
  • Learning how to demonstrate the value of a product to a client
  • Assisting the marketing and sales department in content creation (white papers, videos, blog posts)
  • How the role breaks down: 

    - 50% - full customer engagement cycle; Cold Calling, Linkedin, Email, Relevent follow up, booking meetings

    - 25% - Customer 1st Meetings (qualification), might attend the technical presentations

    - 15% - Researching/ Placing content

    - 10%- Sales/Account Management Training

The ideal candidate’s personality and qualifications:

  • Graduate with a 2:1 and above with a keen interest in marketing analytics
  • Confident, friendly, energetic
  • Hungry, self motivated and driven  to become top 1% of earners nationally within 5 years
  • Nice to have a 2nd language; German, French, Spanish or Italian
  • Analytical, and detail-orientated, 
  • Organised and able to multitask
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office
  • Experience in a sales role 
  • Any experience or an interest in predictive analytics
