Overall responsibility
To successfully generate new business and increase company turnover.  This role is designed to primarily focus on targeting new business leads outside of any existing relationships that we currently have.

Key areas of responsibility

  • Developing and maintaining a client database (Salesforce) to ensure on-going communication with prospective clients
  • Carry out research to identify suitable tender/prospect client opportunities ensuring that all referrals and enquiries are responded to and followed up
  • Make use of social media, mail shots, cold calling etc. in order to establish and validate potential leads assisted by Commercial Administrator(s)
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver targeted campaigns in order to capitalise on opportunities
  • Carry out site surveys – accurately recording information to use in tenders and proposals
  • Create CCF and budget proposals in both Regular Cleaning and client specific formats as applicable
  • Work alongside Commercial Administrator(s) in order to draft content in response to PQQ’s, RFP’s and proposals as applicable
  • Co-ordinate the PQQ and tender process as applicable to ensure responses and documents are submitted in the correct format and within the specified time frames
  • Write and deliver presentations to potential and existing clients
  • Provide a monthly report on sales activity to the Commercial Director and Manager against the department objectives and KPI’s
  • Ensure that the mobilisation process is followed and adhered to for all new contract start-ups as applicable
  • Follow up on unsuccessful tenders/proposals, communicate feedback to relevant departments, record and implement suggestions for improvement
  • Attend networking and other applicable events to generate new business leads and promote Regular Cleaning
  • Contribute ideas and content to the marketing plans, case studies, newsletters, good news stories and digital content
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions for innovations and sustainability initiatives that can form a part of our offering to clients
  • Ensure consistency within the company’s branding and marketing materials
  • Performance manage and develop commercial administrator(s)
  • You may from time to time, be required to work on or assist with business development for tenants and extending our relationship with existing clients.  This will be discussed with you and suitable commission agreed

Necessary qualifications, skills and experience

  • Sales experience is essential
  • Strong sense of customer service
  • Organised, methodical, proactive with excellent time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office package
  • A high standard of maths and verbal and written English (GCSE A to C grade)
  • An understanding of profit and loss calculations and basic business finance
  • Ability to communicate instructions, information and knowledge clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing
  • Experience of collating information, writing presentations and presenting
  • Experience of compiling tender documents
  • Full clean drivers licence
  • Experience of the cleaning industry is advantageous
