Our client is a  strategic brand design and innovation company, specialising in packaging and ranked in the top 10 in the UK. 

They enjoy a secure and loyal client base. Most of which have been with them for many years (Sainsbury’s since 1993, Heineken since 2000), a testament to their high standards of servicing and creative work. they also boast a diverse and thriving range of multinational clients, located mostly across Scandinavia, Portugal and the UK. 

 

Primary functions

 

  1. Prospecting

 

To generate face to face appointments with client decision makers

 

  • Primarily cold calling of agreed prospect list
  • Email follow up of mailers, newsletters and other initiatives as appropriate
  • Attending networking events and meeting potential prospects
  • Working with client services to spot and develop opportunities within their client base
  • Submit weekly reports on prospecting activity

 

  1. CRM Admin and Research
  • Identify potential clients and the decision makers within the client organisation and gather information on targets. Input data into the CRM to keep it up to date.
  • Working with the client services team, proactively self-inform on client business issues, brands and categories
  • Input into new business plan in collaboration with Brand Development Director

 

 

  1. Business development support

 

  • Suggest and develop new targeting initiatives
  • Manage the design and production of marketing materials such as newsletters etc.  by booking and briefing resource in house and managing the process
  • Organise and manage attendance and participation to trade shows, conferences etc.

The candidate

 

The character/profile:

 

Self-motivated, happy and able to function independently (with minimum direction)

Driven to make cold calls/Highly motivated.

Experience in telesales and/or design industry

Articulate, with excellent phone manners and able to craft well written e-mails (excellent English)

Upbeat and self-confident

Able to develop client relationships remotely (phone/emails)

Organised and meticulous (diligent in maintaining database and reporting)

 

Cultural fit

 

Self-aware, fits into the team, able to gain support from seniors and juniors

Adaptable and flexible (e.g happy to assist manually with mailshots)

Able to use ppt/excel

 

The package

 

Basic: to be discussed depending on experience

 

Six monthly bonus to be discussed based on:

 

  • Setting up a minimum of 20 qualified appointments
  • Managing the CRM (maintaining an up to date record of contacts) and managing timely marketing and promotional programmes
  • Positive contributions to face to face presentations
