Launched in 2014, our client is an award-winning PropTech / InsurTech start-up that recently announced the close of a £6 million super-seed round led by White Mountains Insurance Group, Ltd. (NYSE: WTM). At its core, the company is a leading UK-based online price comparison and booking platform for the moving industry and since their launch they’ve connected over 20,000 customers with 100s of their trusted removal companies, turning what used to take days into minutes!

It’s an incredibly exciting time to be joining the team in their buzzing office in the heart of Soho. This is a 3 month internship paying £1,500 per month designed to lead to a permanent graduate job.

How can the intern expect to spend their day?

The company are looking for a bright, friendly, and intelligent graduate to join the team in their next phase of growth. They’re building the business fast so it’s a great place to learn quickly alongside a fun, energetic team. You will be based in their office Soho and be able to learn from an incredibly talented group of people.

Interns should expect to learn about the following: 

  • Assisting the company’s customers and helping to resolve their enquiries.
  • Educating clients and helping them get the most out of the company’s service.
  • Helping to come up with new ways to engage users and resolve all matters that arise when having to negotiate the home moving process. 
  • Working within the wider marketing and sales teams, as an integral part of the business, and presenting ideas on how to improve the customer service offering on a monthly basis.
  • Helping to ensure that the company’s removal partners are always well taken care of.
  • Product development: insights you gain from regular customer conversations will help to shape how the company develops and improve the experience for all their users. 
  • Creative thinking– taking part in regular, lively discussions about ‘making it better’.

Tell us about the ideal intern’s personality and qualifications:

The ideal candidate will be able to talk with conviction about why great customer service matters. You will be able to build rapport with others easily, express genuine empathy, yet know when and how to say no. You should enjoy talking to people over the phone and be very good at it. Your written communication skills must also be impeccable. Previous customer service experience would be beneficial, but not essential. Whatever your background, you must be able to handle challenging service issues with a genuine smile on your face.
