They are relentlessly focused on the future, Their readers come to them to learn about the latest industry news trends and developments, and how they can use them on their own rail and metro networks or with their products and service


This is a permanent position, based in Marylebone, Central London, paying £28-35k per annum + commission.

The Role:

We're a large digital, print and events media business focused on the transport and logistics sectors, looking for a Sales Executive to join the Rail Division. You'll be responsible for selling sponsorship, exhibition space, and digital packages to a global client base.

We are a small, dynamic team that encourages everyone to have a voice and bring innovative ideas to projects. We organise 6 high-level conferences per year across Europe and North America and we also produce digital industry guides which companies can sponsor.

The role would suit someone who is proactive, has a can-do attitude and is passionate about what they do. 

You'll be based in our office in Bond Street - however you will be required to travel internationally to key industry exhibitions and conferences across the UK, Europe and North America.

Key responsibilities of the role:

  • Contribute to the revenue budgets across the SmartRail portfolio
  • Maximise revenue through developing new business and key accounts (new business is expected to make up 70% of your revenue generated. New business will come from a mix of incoming leads and your pro-actively sourced leads)
  • Meet monthly revenue targets set by your line manager
  • Ensure CRM is maintained and updated for effective reporting
  • Able to work as part of a collaborative team e.g. Marketing and Operations and ensure all activities are considered from a customer viewpoint
  • Strategically plan your international field sales activity to coincide with visits to international exhibitions within your area

The ideal candidates' skills and experience:

  • A pro-active person with a can-do, positive attitude
  • Someone currently in sales role looking for the next step up
  • A good written communicator with the ability to confidently approach international companies
  • An effective team player
