This is a graduate position paying £22k per annum, based in Central London.

 Are you a Graduate looking for your first step into the B2B Events industry? Would you like to work on transport and tech focused events which attract senior-level attendees? If you are confident over the phone and enjoy engaging with senior business professionals, this could be a great first job in events for you.

Day to day responsibilties of the role

  • Conduct in-depth market research to create engaging, interesting programmes to maximise attendance and sponsorship
  • Identify, attract and build strong working relationships with industry experts to attend and speak at the conferences
  • Coordinate with all internal teams, Sales, Marketing and Operations to ensure the success of the conferences
  • Managing and developing the VIP audience (from start-ups and transport operators): Invite senior-level executives to attend as a guest
  • Promotion via social media platforms
  • Update the agenda and speaker pages on the website

The ideal candidate for us would be:

  • A new graduate looking to start a career in events
  • Ideally you will have worked in a research or telesales job whilst at university or post studies and be confident talking with professionals over the phone.
  •  You will be looking for an entry level role in commercial international events business and considering a long term career in business development or conference production
  • Have excellent communications skills (written & verbal) as you will be on the phone a lot and writing plenty of business emails.
  • Be organised and have really good time management skills
  • Be a collaborative and positive team player
  • Have creative and innovative business ideas
  • As you will be working on a big event you need resilience, commitment, motivation and determination to keep going
  • Be capable of working to deadlines and targets
