They provide material to thousands of physicians, including congress reviews, as well as breaking news, analysis and access to information of unparalleled quality. The journals span across a wide range of therapeutic areas including Neurology, Gastroenterology and Urology, with all the publications and articles freely available and accessible to our online community to read and share. The content reviews the leading congress within the therapeutic area and are supported by internationally renowned editorial board members.

 

Overview of the role: 

Due to a further phase of growth within the business, the client is looking for a proactive, driven and fully qualified finance professional who is able to control the finances of the business, and become involved in other commercial and operational
aspects as they grow.

Key responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the production of the entire month end reporting and control process
  • Producing monthly P&L and balance sheet reports
  • Managing tax returns, monthly/annual reporting and forecasts, VAT returns, corporation tax
  • Monitoring cash flow, managing aged debtors/owning the short term cash flow forecast
  • Raising, issuing and processing sales invoices, purchase invoices, and supplier payments
  • Continually assess opportunities to improve the Group’s working capital position; present appropriate recommendations to the COO/CEO for consideration
  • Working closely with our outsourced accountants, who manage book keeping and payroll

Key requirements: 

  • Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent)
  • Able to identify opportunities to continually add value through process improvement
  • Highly analytical with the ability to make informed decisions based on the data presented
  • Excellent communication skills and evidence of building successful stakeholder relationships (internally and externally)
