Our client is an international mental health research charity. The charity was created in 2013, with initial funding from the Wellcome Trust, to raise funds from the general public for research.


The charity's vision is to create a world where mental illnesses are understood, effectively treated and one day made preventable. It funds multi-disciplinary research into mental health, across the spectrum of biological, psychological and social sciences.


Whilst the charity is based in the UK, it has an international focus and funds research globally.



To provide vital administrative support to MQ’s fundraising and communications activities such as responding to queries from the public, thanking donors and processing supporter updates.


• Provide supporters and donors with first class supporter care and an exceptional ‘supporter experience’.
• Implement and develop MQ’s administrative processes.

Response handling

• Act as a first line of response for queries to MQ, via all communication channels (including phone, email and social media), ensuring enquirers are given accurate and appropriate information.
• Provide initial support to MQ’s challenge event fundraisers or volunteers, for example, by responding to queries and sending out fundraising packs.
• Oversee thanking process at MQ, including drafting emails and letters, thanking Facebook fundraisers and carrying out welcome calls where there is capacity.

• Responsible for drafting thank you emails and letters, and sending these out via appropriate channel
• Responsible for thanking Facebook birthday fundraisers and carrying out welcome calls where there is capacity.
Administrative support
• Support the staff team with the maintenance and development of current administrative, finance and donor database systems, processes and procedures, including data management and filing
• Accurate processing of supporter requests, such as changes to giving, details or preferences on MQ’s Customer Relationship Database (CRM) Raisers Edge and in accordance with GDPR and Fundraising Regulatory best practices.
• Provide support to the Fundraising team when preparing for prospect meetings including carrying out GDPR-compliant research and contributing to briefings.
• Provide administrative support across the Fundraising and Communications teams to help them fulfil their activities are per requirements.
• Support with events administration, such as managing RSVPs and dietary requirements.
• Strict adherence to MQ’s bespoke Raiser’s Edge data entry guidelines and data protection.
• Support the Operations team with office administration.
