Our client is a communications consultancy operating in the UK. They offer full support with events, training, digital and creative media production.


Main Purpose of Role:

To be responsible for assisting the Marketing Manager in an administrative role supporting the work required to effectively manage Conferences and Training courses and conference sponsorship.

To be responsible for marketing and delivering conferences and providing support to the Head of Marketing.

Main Duties:

  • To be responsible conducting email marketing campaigns (writing engaging copy, using the email marketing software system to design campaigns , and analysing their performance).
  • To be responsible for sourcing and negotiating with endorsers and media partners.
  • To be responsible for maintaining the company website, promptly and accurately.
  • To be responsible for maintaining and helping to build the contact database.
  • To be responsible for liaising with speakers, sponsors and venues to help increase marketing reach.
  • To be responsible for assisting the sales function with data research and lead generation.
  • To be responsible for preparing events and helping to run them on site.
  • To be responsible for providing admin support to the conference team.
  • To be responsible for processing conference bookings and handling delegate enquiries over the phone.
  • To be responsible for contributing creative ideas in team ideas generation meetings.
  • .To be responsible for using google analytics effectively and analysing ROI on marketing activities.
  • To be responsible for day to day management of our 5 Twitter accounts and 5 LinkedIn groups, and helping to increase the number of followers and our level of engagement. 
  • To assist the Marketing Manager in the production
  • To assist the Marketing Manager with any work required in preparation for attendance at client meetings and pitches as and when deemed appropriate.
  • To work with clients to use social media mechanisms such as “twitter” and “Facebook” to enhance their PR and public affairs profile.
  • To ensure quality assurance is embedded within any work, pitches, reports, presentations undertaken.
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by the Line Manager. 
  • Adhere to the company GDPR, Health and Safety policy and Equality and Diversity; also comply with all HR policies and procedures.


  • Experience of working in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience of working as part of a team.
  • Some experience of working in a marketing role
  • Experience of using email marketing software systems such as Dotmailer or Mailchimp


  • Sound knowledge of marketing.
  • Working knowledge of social media, including Twitter and Linked In
  • Awareness of basic marketing principles and interest in current marketing trends
