They are the creators of peer-reviewed open access journals in the medical sector. They provide material to thousands of physicians, including congress reviews, as well as breaking news, analysis and access to information of unparalleled quality. The journals span across a wide range of therapeutic areas including Neurology, Gastroenterology and Urology, with all the publications and articles freely available and accessible to our online community to read and share. The content reviews the leading congress within the therapeutic area and are supported by internationally renowned editorial board members.


The role will support the growth and delivery of the events portfolio. This includes identifying opportunities in the industry through research; assisting in the production and design of events; helping manage the internal event support; and helping the operational delivery.

You will be trained to better understand the industry as well as establish an events back ground. The following duties will make up your day to day, although they are not limited to the below.

  • Researching topics and event formats with the market to find out which areas will provide the greatest revenue opportunities.
  • Identifying and qualifying industry leaders who can speak at events.
  • Identifying and qualifying suppliers who will sponsor events.
  • Work with speakers and clients to assist them in the build up to events.
  • Work with third parties to optimise event delivery.
  • Help manage supporting functions such as website maintenance, agenda updates and providing content to internal teams.
  • Communicating with event partners to make sure you deliver on joint expectations.
  • Finding suitable venues for events 

The ideal candidate’s personality and qualifications:

  • A real desire to work in the events industry.
  • A relevant degree - ideally marketing, business or events management is desirable.
  • You will have a strong academic record and an eye for detail.
  • Excellent organisational skills and computer literacy is important, with experience in all MS Office packages.
  • Any experience of the events industry or evidence of events management would be a bonus.
  • You should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a mature, confident and professional telephone manner.
  • A self-starting, proactive and can do attitude.
  • Hard working but willing to have fun! A good sense of humour is a must.
