Our client is a private bank operating in over 30 locations worldwide with a focus on financial planning, offshore trusts, company formation and management.


This is a 3 month Graduate internship paying £1,700 per month. 

In this role you will work closely with your manager who will act as your mentor and coach. They will allocate work to you, supervise and provide ongoing feedback on your performance. 

You'll be working towards gaining practical skills and knowledge and improving understanding of a particular job or department. You will also familiarise yourself with the ways of working in the private banking industry - including meeting deadlines, working in a team and ways of communicating in a professional environment. Additionally you will gaine insight into the way organisations operate and the challenges they face. Finally you will have an opportunity to start establishing a professional network.

Day to day responsibilties of the role:

  • Assist the CRO team with new client on-boarding
  • Assist the CRO team in preparing openening forms and credit applications
  • Assist the CRO in preparing their client meetings, including booking of meeting rooms and venues
  • Assist the CRO according to instructions in tasks including; but not limited to:
    • Order new and replacement cheque books
    • upload and retrieve client documentation and correspondance on and from the Bank's storage system
    • Diary Management and document filing
    • Answer calls and take messages
    • Prepare business expense claims
    • Other ad-hoc tasks instructed by the CRO from time to time
  • Conducting Research
  • Assisting with data gathering, assesment and presentation
  • Producing documents, breifing papers, reports and presentations
  • Data entry
  • Scheduling and providing support in meetings, collating and distributing agendas and meeting documentation, taking minutes
  • Screening telephone calls and enquiries- and handling when appropriate
  • Assisting with departmental projects, taking a lead role where appropriate
  • General administrative support to line manager
  • Keep up to date with best practise developments in your field
  • Contribute ideas and views to strengthen ongoing business and operational success
  • Adhere to policies regarding conduct rules and regulatory obligations
  • Follow the banks values in all activities and support colleagues to do so
  • Stay aware of internal strategy and actively drive personal career and development plans to suit
  • Support a one team approach by respecting dependancies and locations

Required knowledge, skills and experience:

  • Educated to graduate level
  • The drive and enthusiasm that makes you stand out from the crowd!
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages including fluency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • High level of numeracy 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Strong organisational skills

  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion at all times
  • Organised; able to work under pressure to ensure that deadlines are met
