Take your date to prom at The Book Club
The Book Club in Shoreditch is hosting a prom-inspired Valentine’s party! For only a fiver you can enjoy an evening of house party games like Beer Pong, prom music, teen movies and plenty of American-style food! Come dressed as your favourite ‘teen movie stereotypes’ whether it’s a cheerleader, skater, drop out or jock and you and your date could be crowned Prom King and Queen at the end of the night.

Report a crime at Evans and Peel
If you are looking for something fun and unique then have a drink at cocktail bar Evans and Peel this Valentine’s. Their entrance is designed to look like a detective agency, and guests must state their ‘case’ before entering. You’ll be directed into a 1920s speakeasy bar, with old fashioned cocktails and American diner food. On Valentine’s Day they are holding a St Valentine’s Day Massacre encouraging ‘lone rangers to grab a guy or doll’ and seek sanctum in their offices. Listen to a live pianist while drinking champagne and enjoying sumptuous aphrodisiac appetisers.

Say “I Love You” in a whole new way at the Anotomical Heart pop-up shop
If you fancy something a little bit unusual and are a fan of Miss Cakehead then visit the anatomical heart pop-up gift shop and buy the one you love a very unique Valentine’s gift. The shop will be open from 8th-10th February, at Top Office Machines, 133 Bethnal Green Road, East London and will sell gifts inspired by, or featuring, anatomical hearts. Some of the pieces on sale include a 1lb solid chocolate anatomical heart from Cakes for Breakfast, textiles by artist Kate Jenkins, a heart cocktail from Bespoke Barwear and anatomical heart giant plush from I Heart Guts.

Oyster fan? As the most famous aphrodisiac, oysters will make the perfect meal for Valentine’s Day. Visit Wright Brother’s Oyster Bar where the experts will teach you how to shuck the finest oysters. For £20 per person, you and your date will enjoy a lovely evening of fine dining complete with oysters and champagne.

Treat your sweet tooth at Marshmallow Apothecary
Marshmallow Apothecary is a new pop-up at Kingly Court running for two weeks over Valentine’s. If you and your Valentine have a bit of a sweet tooth then the Marshmallow Apothecary will treat you to some of the most unique marshmallows. Enjoy aphrodisiac flavours such as ginger & chilli and a handmade cocktail in the café. They can also create a bespoke marshmallow for you that can be made for next day collection. Prices start at £3 per bag of marshmallows and £6 for cocktails.

Get your chocolate fix at Lucky’s Wonderland
If you are a huge chocolate lover then visit Carnaby’s newest chocolate shop and café Lucky’s in Kingly Court. They are offering a Mad Hatter’s Chocolatey Tea party for two with delicious gourmet tea and chocolate filled cakes in their unusual indoor garden.

Go out for dinner…in the dark at Dans Le Noir
If you must do the Valentine’s eating out thing then opt for a meal out with a difference! Try dining at Dans Le Noir, a restaurant where you eat in complete darkness and get served by blind. Before you enter the darkness, you select a vegetarian, meat, fish or ‘surprise’ menu. Your other senses like touch and taste will be heightened creating a very sensual and tactile evening for two.

Have a bespoke cocktail at B.Y.O.C.
Have you ever heard of a cocktail bar that doesn’t sell alcohol? You have now! B.Y.O.C is a new unique hidden cocktail bar in Covent Garden is trying a new concept where guests are encouraged to bring their own favourite spirit! An expert mixologist will use your alcohol choice to create you a bespoke cocktail which you can enjoy in an underground bar with candlelit tables, exposed brickwork, an original fireplace, gramophone and vintage signs from the 1920s. It is reservation only so you can book a table for two to six people with a cover charge of £20 per person (including all mixers, garnishes and soft drinks) and the tables have a two hour turnaround time.

Have a barrel of laughs with wine at Vinopolis
If you fancy a good laugh over a nice glass of wine then check out the comedy night and wine experience on 15th February at Vinopolis. The special comedy package costs £35 each and is perfect for couples! The evening starts with a self-guided visit to the essential tasting experience followed by comedy entertainment at 9pm.
